The Operational Reception Manager has operational responsibility for services provided by reception staff. Additionally, working with the Prescriptions Assistant, she is also responsible for issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries.

Practice Management Team

The Practice Manager has responsibilty for the day-to-day running of the surgery, and also is the nominated Complaints Manager. She works closely with the Deputy Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager and the Operational Reception Manager.


Receptionists are usually the first members of the practice team who come into contact with patients.  They provide an important link for patients, and are the initial contact point for general enquiries.  Reception staff can provide basic information about services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. 

Secretarial Staff

The surgery also has a team of 2 medical secretaries, who can be contacted by selecting the relevant option on the surgery's main phone number.  The secretaries have a great deal of experience and have helped many patients over the years they have been with the surgery.
