Monday 14th December 2020 - Important Message for Eagle House Surgery Patients.
Very important message for all our patients; due to a number of staff at Eagle House Surgery being tested positive for coronavirus and more being told to isolate. However, we will continue to see patients at the surgery as usual.
Eagle House Surgery has been providing medical care to patients from this site for over 100 years. It is a large and busy practice situated in Ponders End, and housed in modern, purpose-built premises.
The surgery's clinical team includes 8 GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, 3 Practice Nurses and a Healthcare Assistant. The practice team works closely together to offer a friendly, professional and efficient service to all our patients.
We work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues in the local health community, including District Nurses, Health Visitors and Community Matrons, Diabetes UK & Health advice, Mental Health Link worker and we host outreach Physiotherapy, Evening and weekends Hub Service at the surgery.
The surgery ethos is very patient focused, and to we try hard to provide high quality clinical care to all our patients. We treat our patients with dignity and respect, and support them to make informed decisions about their lifestyle to enhance their wellbeing.
Although we make every effort to give the best service possible, sometimes things can go wrong, and a patient may feel they have genuine cause for complaint. Friends and Family Test
We have set up a survey called The Friends and Family Test to help us to review and improve our services on an on-going basis.
This isn't a traditional survey but a continuous way of obtaining patients' views about our services. Patients who visit the surgery to attend an appointment will receive a text message shortly afterwards, asking them about their recent experience of our services, i.e. how likely they would be to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care of treatment. On joining the surgery, all patients are asked to sign and observe our Patient Agreement. This confirms they have agreed to consult a Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse for minor ilnesses, where this is appropriate. The Agreement also explains that abusive or violent behaviour by a patient may result in their removal.
Our Nurses are an essential part of the surgery's patient care team, and their consultations with patients who have minor illnesses help to release GPs' time for other patients with more complex health problems.
