For urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, please ring 111. 111 is free to call directly from landlines or mobile ‘phones.
The 111 service is available 24 hours a day, on every day of the year. They can:
- offer telephone advice
- provide a doctor’s appointment at a local Out of Hours centre
- provide a home visit by a doctor, if clinically indicated

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:
- Treat yourself at home
- Go to a Primary Care Centre
If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
